VIQ Reseller Selected for Digital Court Recording Project in Zimbabwe

MARKHAM, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Oct. 28, 2015) - VIQ Solutions Inc. ("VIQ", "VIQ Solutions" or the "Corporation") (TSX VENTURE:VQS) is pleased to announce that the Corporation's South Africa-based reseller, Digital Voice Processing ("DVP"), has been selected by the Judicial Services Commission of Zimbabwe ("JSC") to provide a digital audio capture and management solution for their magistrate's courtrooms.

The initial contract is for the provision of our advanced digital recording solution, along with the associated content management, playback and transcription management software and hardware, for eighty courtrooms across Zimbabwe. The contract is expected to continue to grow in 2016, with additional rooms and functionality being added. The JSC is also planning on taking advantage of VIQ's sophisticated workflow and collaboration features by adding network functionality in the future.

"We are delighted to add the Zimbabwe Magistrates Courts to our continuously growing list of esteemed court recording customers that are undergoing modernization initiatives and making the move to a secure, scalable digital recording system," said Sebastien Paré, President and CEO of VIQ Solutions. "With VIQ, the Zimbabwe JSC has chosen a flexible, agile solution that will change with them as their needs grow. This initial implementation marks the beginning of a long, successful relationship with the Zimbabwe Judicial Service Commission."

The prestigious digital court recording contract follows numerous recent wins for DVP including the Mpumalanga (South Africa) Provincial Legislature, the National Assembly in Mauritius, the Lesotho Judiciary and the South African National Defense Force. The installation in Zimbabwe brings the total number of African countries running VIQ's powerful software solutions to fourteen, all of whom are supported by DVP and their local partners.

"The need for sophisticated digital capture, management and collaboration solutions in Africa continues to grow as more courts, legislatures and other government entities demand secure solutions that increase efficiency in their workflows and provide transparency for their citizens," said Peter Benson, Managing Director at Digital Voice Processing. "The VIQ-DVP partnership, with our unmatched combination of best of breed software and years of local experience, is uniquely positioned to take advantage of these trends and further expand our position as the market leader for digital solutions in Africa."
