VIQ Reseller DECA Completes Tribal Court Upgrade Project in Mississippi

MARKHAM, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Nov. 19, 2015) - VIQ Solutions Inc. ("VIQ", "VIQ Solutions" or the "Corporation") (TSX VENTURE:VQS) is pleased to announce that value-added reseller DECA AMR Business Products ("DECA") of Marietta, Georgia, has completed the migration of a long-time customer in Mississippi to the latest VIQ centralized digital capture, management and collaboration solution.

The customer, a Tribal Court in Mississippi, has been a DECA and VIQ customer for many years, using VIQ's standalone recording software to capture proceedings in multiple courtrooms in multiple divisions across the court system. With the migration, the Court has upgraded their standalone capture workstations to VIQ's latest networked solution that provides a central, secure repository for all courtroom proceedings and collaborative access to digital recordings for all authorized users.

The Court is also using playback licenses to allow access to authorized users outside the courtroom, such as from the Judge's private chambers or for transcription of proceedings. For users outside the network, VIQ's powerful database allows the Court to quickly search and retrieve cases and easily export them to an external disk or flash drive for complete carry-away functionality.

This migration is the latest in a string of upgrades for VIQ's existing court customers in the US and around the world. DECA recently completed a similar migration project for a Georgia court customer in July of 2015

"There is a strong trend among our standalone court customers toward the security and efficiency of a networked solution, with enhanced access and collaboration functionality," said Bob Rhodes, Regional Sales Manager at DECA. "VIQ's secure networked solutions are the logical next step for standalone customers that are demanding more sophisticated digital solutions while maintaining a familiar workflow."

"Through the hard work of our team of value-added resellers like DECA, VIQ has a prestigious list of court customers across the United States that are currently running VIQ's capture, management and collaboration software at various levels of functionality," said Sebastien Paré, President and CEO of VIQ Solutions. "While standalone audio recording was able to meet a court's requirements years ago, most of our customers in courts, law enforcement, legal, medical, legislatures and immigration now have an entirely new level of appreciation for the process efficiencies and bullet-proof security gained from modern networked solutions where the audio and video data being captured is only a part of a much larger digital business process flow. The days are numbered for recording solutions based on older technology where, at best, recorded files are moved via FTP or other unsecured legacy forms of file transfer. We are delighted to partner with our existing customers on such digital transformation while fully leveraging past investments made into VIQ technology."
