BOUCHERVILLE, Quebec, Dec. 7, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sandoz Canada announced today the launch of two easy-to-use products: Salinex® Seawater to help reduce symptoms of nasal congestion and Ezeva™ for the prevention and treatment of diaper rash. These products are available over-the counter in pharmacies and other retailers across Canada.

"We are proud to be adding Salinex® Seawater nasal spray for daily care and Ezeva™ zinc oxide cream to our growing list of over-the-counter (OTC) products responding to the needs of Canadian consumers," says Michel Robidoux, President of Sandoz Canada. "Both of these products have been developed to offer suitable, convenient and affordable treatment for two common health conditions and are in keeping with our goal of being a leader in improving the lives of people and creating a healthier future for Canadians."

Salinex® Seawater nasal spray for daily care is composed of 100% natural seawater and is designed to help reduce symptoms associated with colds and allergic rhinitis such as nasal congestion, when used as an adjuvant treatment. It also helps to smooth nose drainage by loosening secretions and moisturizing dry mucus. Employing "bag-on-valve" technology (i.e. not aerosol) it is available in a new 125 mL spray and in four formats: ultra-gentle mist for children over 2 years old and gentle stream, medium stream and full stream for adults.

Ezeva™ zinc oxide cream is a spray designed to help treat and prevent diaper rash in babies and incontinence-associated dermatitis in adults. Using patented spray-on technology, it ensures a thin and uniform application using only one hand and without skin contact for optimal hygiene. Ezeva™ is also fragrance free and contains no petroleum jelly. It is available in two formats, one for babies and one for adults. This is the first time that zinc oxide in a vaporizer format has been designed for adults.
