TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - February 09, 2016) - On Feb. 13, see how a new generation of innovative startups are changing the multi-billion dollar sports industry. Hosted by Ryerson Futures Inc. at the DMZ at Ryerson University, 10 startups will showcase their technology to a group of attendees that will include senior digital executives from National Basketball Association (NBA) teams, which is hosting its annual All-Star game for the first time in Toronto.
Mark Cohon, a member of Ryerson Futures' board and former commissioner of the Canadian Football League, will make introductory remarks, followed by presentations by five startups.
WHAT: The launch of Zone Startups Sports/Media, an accelerator focused on supporting the growth of sports and media related startups.
WHEN: Saturday, Feb. 13 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Media sign in begins at 1:30 p.m.
