DAYTON, Ohio, March 10, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- CareSource has named Katherine Wentworth Vice President, Business Development and Integration. In this role, Wentworth will lead its Business Development and Integration units as CareSource continues to expand its geographic footprint, product lines, and service offerings.
CareSource, a member-centric, health plan located in multiple states, appointed Wentworth amidst an unprecedented period of rapid growth for the company. A non-profit with a 26-year history, CareSource's growth in the last 12 months includes starting the new Life Services Division, launching a Medicare Advantage plan in Kentucky and Indiana, expanding its Health Insurance Marketplace product to West Virginia, and securing a contract to offer managed Medicaid services in Georgia.
Wentworth will further the corporate growth strategy as she establishes relationships with key stakeholders associated with new market and product opportunities. She will manage the implementation for new business, overseeing growth initiatives from planning to operational status.

Wentworth is an accomplished, health care executive with extensive experience in both Marketplace and Medicaid product lines. Previously she served as Interim President and CEO, and Chief Operating Officer at MDWise, a commercial health plan and Medicaid managed care organization in Indiana.
An Indiana native, Wentworth has a law degree from the Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Indiana University- Bloomington. She is an active member of the Covering Kids and Families of Indiana, Public Policy Committee. She has also served as the vice-chair for the Association of Community Affiliated Health Plans (ACAP) Exchange Committee.
