One Fifth of Households Earning Over $100,000 Name Budgeting and Debt as Primary Financial Goal, New Four Seasons Financial Education Survey Shows

Employee Financial Wellness Survey shows top financial goals by age, sex and income.


ST. LOUIS, Mo., March 29, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via PRWEB - Four Seasons Financial Education (FSFE) recently revealed their 2016 Employee Financial Wellness Survey. The survey found retirement to be the primary financial goal among all respondents (35%) followed closely by budgeting and debt (33%). Among those employees focused on budgeting and debt, 36% have houseshold incomes of over $75,000 and 21% have household incomes of over $100,000.

"This survey shows us that financial wellnes is less about your income and more about what you do with that income," says Travis Freeman, president of FSFE. "Regardless of our titles or our degrees, we can all find value in better financial planning."

The survey also found that women were more likely to name budgeting and debt as the primary financial goal (36.5%)than men (28.2%), while men were more likely to name retirement as the primary financial goal (36.7%) than women (34%). A total of 554 employees took the survey, of which 53% were women and 47% were men.
