DANBURY, Conn., May 17, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- On May 13, long-standing Ethan Allen retailers Karen and Joseph Chesnick, Jr. were recognized by Congregation Beth Israel in Houston, Texas, with the Samuel E. Karff 2016 Leadership Award.

Mr. Chesnick served as President, Treasurer, and member of the Board of Trustees at the Jewish synagogue, which is one of the oldest in Texas and one of the top ten largest Reform congregations in the United States. He also co-chaired the completion of the "People's Torah" in honor of the Congregation's 160th anniversary. Mrs. Chesnick’s participation and leadership in numerous programs have exemplified an outstanding dedication of service and selflessness to the Congregation.
