BEDFORD, Mass., May 31, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Datawatch Corporation (NASDAQ-CM: DWCH) today announced that Caisse Nationale d’Allocations Familiales (CNAF), a large, public sector agency based in Paris, France, is leveraging Datawatch’s self-service data preparation solutions to ease data access, and achieve fast and exhaustive reporting. The combination of Datawatch Monarch and Monarch Server is saving CNAF accountants and auditors countless hours on data extraction, modeling and reporting, enabling them to prep less and analyze more.
CNAF serves as France’s Social Security Department and operates with one clear mission: to help families in need. The organization distributes family allowance funds to more than 10 million beneficiaries each year. Calculating the benefits it can allocate to each family requires CNAF to perform a detailed analysis of factors related to child welfare, housing and education.
Prior to implementing Datawatch, CNAF dealt with its massive amounts of family benefits data, which is housed within thousands of files, through manual processes. Extracting insight from this information, which was only available as lists in various text formats, was extremely labor-intensive. CNAF was looking for a solution that would automate data extraction and processing, and expedite time-to-insight by automatically converting this data into a structured format for analysis.
In 2009, at the recommendation of local Caisse Allocations Familiales (CAF) offices already using the product, CNAF turned to Datawatch Monarch, which enables data analysts and everyday business users to rapidly access, manipulate, blend and prepare data from the widest variety of sources, including structured, multi-structured and unstructured repositories. CNAF also implemented Monarch Server to automate the delivery of prepared data to its intended recipients.
Today, Datawatch’s solutions are used by more than 450 accountants and auditors across CNAF’s 102 local agencies. Each night, Datawatch Monarch runs more than 195 automated processes on up to 8,000 files – totaling approximately four gigabytes of data – and governs them in a secure, centralized Document Management System in Excel format. Relevant files are then automatically processed and distributed to users via Monarch Server.
