“Houston Habitat for Humanity is grateful to LGI Homes,” said Allison Hay, Executive Director of Houston Habitat for Humanity.  “It is so nice to have a partner who understands quality and craftsmanship.  The team who helped us really knew how to use a hammer!  The six families who will become new homeowners in the Harrel Park neighborhood will benefit for generations because of the LGI Homes Service Impact Day.”

The Houston event was one of 20 that took place, on May 26, 2016, across the United States in communities that LGI Homes currently does business. The impact of this company-wide service day included a combined total of over 3,300 employee service hours and $65,000 in corporate non-profit sponsorships.

“One of our initiatives for 2016 is to have a larger impact on the communities we serve,” said Eric Lipar, the Company’s CEO. “Today, during our inaugural Service Impact Day, all LGI offices across the nation turned their focus away from sales and closings to participate in this special day created to increase volunteerism throughout our company. We have been fortunate to have had a lot of success over the past few years, and believe that it is our responsibility to give back and make a greater impact.”
