Ethan Allen Named a Finalist for NYSE Governance Services 2016 Leadership Award

DANBURY, Conn., June 13, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Ethan Allen (NYSE:ETH) is pleased to announce that the company was selected as a finalist in the Exemplary Shareholder Engagement category of the 3rd annual Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Leadership Awards presented by NYSE Governance Services, a subsidiary of New York Stock Exchange. Winners were announced at an awards gala held on June 8th.

Finalists in the 2016 Exemplary Shareholder Engagement category also included Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, Inc. and Staples, Inc., with Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, Inc. taking top honors. The award recognizes companies that demonstrate a willingness to participate in meaningful, transparent dialogue with shareholders via accessible venues and channels. The efficacy of these endeavors is evidenced in the companies' abilities to successfully work through shareholder engagement challenges in a manner that satisfies all parties.

The GRC awards program recognizes outstanding companies and individuals who have demonstrated noteworthy efforts in the areas of governance and compliance. Eligible candidates included all publicly traded companies in the U.S. listed on the New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ.
