TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - July 25, 2016) - DHL, the world's leading international express services provider, announced today it has expanded its operations in the Greater Toronto Area with the opening of a pop-up shop in Scarborough Town Centre. The investment adds a new, convenient drop-off location for international shipping customers, and is a logistics milestone to grow its retail footprint in Canada.
The compact, 700 sq. ft. facility designed to simulate an aircraft, will be open seven days a week. The space emphasizes DHL's committed team of international specialists and its world-class express delivery network behind it. Customers visiting the pop-up shop can take advantage of DHL's Express Easy product - which gives walk-in customers access to lower prices with a flat-fee option to send an international shipment in a more cost effective way. The facility also provides a staffed customer counter for convenient shipment drop-off and collection.
"DHL is focused on growing our business internationally and in the Canadian market by concentrating on our core strengths and seizing the opportunity in new growth areas. Having grown up in Scarborough, I have personal confidence that the area is an excellent example of a market that's perfectly suited for our services," said Andrew Williams, CEO, DHL Express Canada. "DHL is excited to be able to bring greater flexibility and reliability, with an added point of access like this to such a diverse market."
The new DHL Express Service Point is located inside the Scarborough Town Centre at 300 Borough Drive, ON M1P 4P5.
