SAN JOSE, Calif., Aug. 04, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- With just one day before the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, A&D Medical, a global leader in connected health and biometric measurement devices and services, has announced it will be providing blood pressure monitors with its signature extra-large cuffs as a supplier to USA Weightlifting.

The A&D Medical blood pressure monitors to be used – including the UA-789AC among others – were specifically chosen in order to accommodate the wide range of arm circumferences on the weightlifting team.
With the industry’s only extra-large cuff, the UA-789AC is exclusive to A&D and is designed for people with larger arm circumferences (16.5-23.6 inches), such as football players and weightlifters. The other A&D monitor will provide three additional cuff sizes for the Olympic athletes: small (6.3-9.4 inches), medium (9.0-14.2 inches), and large (14.2 to 17.7 inches).
The series of cuff sizes was chosen for USA Weightlifting athletes to support the wide range of arm circumferences between weight classes: the right size cuff ensures the most accurate reading.
