Europe Zone

The Europe zone returned to growth over Q1 to record an increase of + 0.8% on a like for like basis* and + 0.7% based on reported figures. The 3 operating segments - canned, frozen and fresh processed - achieved positive growth over the period, driven by the good sales performance of the national brands (Bonduelle, Cassegrain), the food-service market recovery for frozen products and despite the lowering of prices for private labels products implemented in summer 2015 which will continue to have an impact on the turnover trend until the end of the first half of FY 2016-2017.

Non-Europe Zone

The non-Europe zone recorded a double-digit growth rate at + 12.5% on a like for like basis* and + 9.7% based on reported figures, notably fuelled by the excellent performances observed in North America and the early encouraging results of the Bonduelle branded canned range repositioning in Brazil.
In Eastern Europe, even if the activity remained pretty volatile over a quarter that is traditionally weaker, the activity of the Bonduelle and Globus brands recorded an encouraging increase in volume over the period.
