Veidekke ASA: To refurbish shopping centre in Bryne

Today Veidekke's subsidiary Block Berge Bygg has entered into a contract with Nedremarka Eiendom, which is owned by Coop Sørvest and Coop Norge Eiendom, to refurbish and extend the M44 shopping centre in Bryne. This will be a turnkey contract valued at NOK 110 million, excluding VAT.

The project has been developed by Nedremarka Eiendom in collaboration with Block Berge Bygg and with Rambøll as architect. Building work includes an 9,000 m2 extension of the centre. Following the extension, the centre will have several new shops and emerge as future-oriented and modern. The contract also entails a significant extent of own production for Block Berge Bygg, which will be important for activity levels in 2017.

"We are very pleased that Nedremarka Eiendom has chosen Block Berge Bygg as partner. We have long experience and extensive expertise in carrying out construction projects in shopping centres that are in full operation," says managing director Yngvar Karlsen of Block Berge Bygg AS..

Planning is already under way, while the actual construction work at the centre starts in January 2017. The new centre is scheduled for completion in April 2018.
