Saniona, a leading biotech company in the field of ion channels, today announces that it expects to provide topline data in early January 2017 from its Phase 2a study for Tesomet in patients with type 2 diabetes.
"The study has progressed as planned. This Phase 2a study was initiated on April 20 and already by August 8 we could report that the last patient was enrolled. The study comprises a total of 60 patients. We are pleased to inform that 58 patients have completed the study successfully. We have now locked the database and the independent statisticians will be analysing the results during the next few weeks. Therefore, we expect to report topline data prior to the JP Morgan conference on January 9-11, 2017, where the entire healthcare industry is gathered.
