MediSYS Leverages Alpha II Registry to Improve Quality Measure Reporting for Providers

Integrated, web-based quality reporting service will provide MediSYS customers compliant reporting for improved quality, efficiency of care

TALLAHASSEE, Fla., Jan. 31, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Alpha II, LLC, a leading developer of software platforms, software as a service and publications that support the healthcare revenue cycle, announced today it has signed an agreement with MediSYS to offer its Alpha II Registry to successfully collect and report Quality Payment Program (QPP) data – as outlined by The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) – on behalf of MediSYS clients.

The Alpha II Registry is a secure, integrated, web-based solution that provides data validation for reporting and performance rates, to help ensure a practice’s outcomes and attestation requirements are met. Unlike many registries focused on certain specialties, the Alpha II Registry is able to report on all quality measures – including individual and group – and for all specialties, through a platform of data collection, editing and submission services.

“As we looked to select a partner to help fulfill the quality reporting needs of our clients, Alpha II’s longstanding involvement with the quality programs such as PQRS, MIPS and MACRA and the intuitive software offering weighed heavily in our decision to partner together,” said Ray Little, CEO of MediSYS, Inc. “Quality reporting, especially as regulations evolve and change, can be an incredibly complex process for physicians. Having a product and a team of experts that really understand the ins and outs of it can make a valuable difference for providers.”

The Final Rule for the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 (MACRA) that was published in October 2016, repeals the Sustainable Growth Rate, creates the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS), and provides incentive payments for participation in Advanced Alternative Payment Models (APMs).

“While Quality Payment Programs from CMS continue to evolve beyond PQRS with the advent of MACRA, MIPS, APMs and others, we are continually up to date on the latest initiatives and committed to ensuring the Alpha II Registry helps eligible clinicians maintain compliance and avoid negative payment adjustments,” said Jan Powell, president and CEO of Alpha II.
