Powell has more than 16 years of executive leadership experience in digital media, notably at Cricket Wireless and AT&T where his teams launched more than 100 products during his tenure. An Atlanta native and alumnus of the University of Georgia and Harvard Business School, Powell was recently honored as one of the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 2016 “40 Under 40.”

“Pairing technology and human ingenuity empowers clients through the digital journey. HatchWorks helps our customers become the disruptor, not the disrupted, in today’s digital world,” said Powell. “We’re helping companies in communications, consumer goods and financial services evolve and thrive as digital environments constantly change.”

“For instance, with the rise of disruptors like YouTube and Netflix, we advise our communications customers on transforming cost structures by evolving to software defined networks and developing alternate revenue streams by launching new products. Additionally, in the retail space our consumer goods clients are scaling online sales as we help them develop their new platforms and adopt new ways to engage customers through digital marketing and customer loyalty programs,” continued Powell.

Gartner’s Gyanee Dewanarian wrote about telecommunications digitalization in Hype Cycle for the Telecommunications Industry, 2016

“During the past five years, communications service providers (CSPs) have seen the growth of their core service revenue plateau or decline. This is due to a number of factors such as natural commoditization, regulatory impacts, changing consumer behavior and competitive dynamics. Digitalization, in particular, is an unparalleled transformational force that is completely reshaping the telecommunications industry.” --Gartner, “Hype Cycle for the Telecommunications Industry, 2016,” Gyanee Dewnarain, Research Vice President, published July 22, 2016.
