NEW YORK, March 02, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Blake Insomnia Therapeutics Inc. (OTCQB:BKIT) and Sajo Consulting LLC are pleased to introduce the team appointed to conduct clinical trials of its insomnia products using Blake’s proprietary Zleepax™ formula:
- Christian Schutz – Medical Director
Dr. Schutz received an MD from Albert Ludwigs University in Freiburg, Germany, a PhD from Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University. He held a Fellowship in Behavioural Pharmacology from the National Institute on Drug Abuse at the National Institutes of Health in Baltimore and, while on sabbatical, studied Clinical Neuroscience at Yale University. He currently serves as an Associate Professor at UBC’s Faculty of Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry.
- Ajit Johal – Clinical Trial Sponsor
Mr. Johal is a graduate from the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Toronto. He is the clinical services coordinator at Wilson Pharmacy in Port Coquitlam and is a clinical instructor at UBC’s Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences. He has worked as lead clinical pharmacist for a number of outreach programs including the Integrated Medication Management Program and the Coast Mental Health Medication Program.
- Anastasia Frank – Research Coordinator
Ms. Frank holds a Master of Public Health from the University of British Columbia and a BA with Honours in Geography from McGill University. Her focus is expanding the links between urban planning and public health. She has worked on a number projects both in and out of the lab.
Canadian clinical trials are planned for Q3 2017 pending approval of a New Drug Submission by the Health Products and Food Branch of Health Canada.
Blake and Sajo are continuing to negotiate key terms of the joint venture. The two companies entered into an agreement about one week ago but have agreed to renegotiate certain terms.
