Robert Hunter Joins BCC Research Editorial Staff

Wellesley, Mass, March 15, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- BCC Research today announced that Robert Hunter has joined the editorial team as Senior Editor, Healthcare.

“Robert comes to our editorial team with a wealth of experience working within the industries we cover, as well as being an analyst researching the very technologies that matter to our customers,” said BCC Research’s Editorial Director Kevin Fitzgerald.  “Working with Senior Editor Chris Spivey, we expect the addition of Robert to enable BCC to dramatically increase our coverage of the life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and healthcare industries.”

Mr. Hunter began his career as a mechanical engineer working on utility and process equipment build outs for biotech companies before segueing into operational consulting with Deloitte and in his own practice, with a focus on business process, governance, organizational development and IT systems design and implementation, for clients including Genzyme, Biogen Idec and Johnson and Johnson.  He also has extensive experience working with early stage device companies and technology transfer organizations in evaluating technologies and markets, establishing commercialization priorities and strategies, creating business planning and fundraising.

Additional experience includes in business development, automation and quality assurance.

“I plan to call upon my deep industry experience and contacts in my new editorial capacity, much as I did as an analyst,” said Mr. Hunter.  “I look forward to joining a research team that has both a long-standing history and visionary outlook in coverage topics and content delivery modalities.”

Mr. Hunter is the author of several BCC Research reports, including the best-sellers: 3D Cell Culture: Technologies and Global Markets and In Vitro Toxicity Testing: Technologies and Global Markets. His most recent report, Companion Diagnostics: Global Markets, was published in March. In addition, he is a published expert on precision and personalized medicine.

Mr. Hunter continued, “I have an affinity for strategy-enabling data, and a deep personal interest in health and wellness, and my role at BCC satisfies both of these passions.  I am excited to work with customers to illuminate their needs, and with our analysts to jointly uncover new technologies and markets.”

Mr. Hunter holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Clemson University and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth University.  He will be based with the BCC Research editorial team in Wellesley, MA.
