Myriad Provisions Kick Starts Community Outreach Program

College Station, TX, March 27, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Myriad Provisions, a marketing and promotions firm in College Station, Texas announced their newest initiative for community outreach at the start of the new year. The company has already raised nearly $5,000 in donations to various causes across the nation and vow to continue their work for years to come.

“Sometimes,” says Director of Operations, William Johnson, “It seems like a never ending cycle of negativity pouring though our news stations. We can choose to let that shape our vision of tomorrow, or we can take initiative to make tomorrow’s world a safer and a more positive place.”

Johnson’s idea for the positive outreach stared with one simple idea, ‘We can not stop all suffering, but we can do our part to minimize it.’

Myriad Provisions set their vision in motion as they rolled out the red carpet in New Port Beach, California in February for a breast cancer awareness event. Myriad team members, associates and guests of honor from the Susan G. Komen foundation boarded the Royal Princess Yacht for an evening of wining, dining and reflection.

A few of the Susan G. Komen foundation guests of honor spoke about their personal battles with breast cancer and how the experience impacted their lives.

“From the diagnosis to winning my battle with cancer, the foundation was my strength and my light through it all,” said spokeswoman and survivor, Jaque B.R.

Donations were accepted, matched and doubled throughout the evening, resulting in the team’s remarkable $4,000 donation to kick-start their charitable efforts.

“The feeling of accomplishment and resounding compassion was overwhelming,” said Johnson. “It wasn't but a few days after the event that we set our sights on the next opportunity to help in our own community.”

Myriad Provisions will attend a golfing event called “Swing for a Cure” to spread awareness about cancer research on May 2015th. The event will take place in Bryan, Texas at the Phillips Event Center. The company is sponsoring two teams for the event resulting in a $600 charitable donation.

“We have never attended an event quite like this,” explained Johnson. “We are eager to begin our work locally, giving back and expressing our gratitude for the community that so graciously built this company into what it is today.”
