Pulse Announces 15th Annual User Group Conference in Nashville, TN

The company welcomes hundreds of healthcare professionals to participate in educational development and industry networking opportunities during the four-day gathering

KANSAS CITY, Mo., April 19, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Pulse Systems, Inc., an industry-leading provider of Electronic Health Record (EHR), Practice Management (PM) and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) solutions, today announced its 15th annual User Group meeting, that will kick off this week in Nashville, TN. Taking place April 19-22, the event will bring together Pulse users from across the United States to deliver key industry insights and information to clients about prevalent topics in healthcare IT, including MACRA, advanced reporting and navigating the new payment structure.

Pulse’s User Group meeting, also referred to as “PUG,” offers more than 24 sessions, educating users at all levels — introductory to advanced — about industry regulations, including in-depth courses on the Quality Reporting Program and implications of MACRA, as well as a variety of programs about patient engagement, population health, compliance and more.

In addition, users can participate in focus groups and attend sessions to learn about best practices utilizing Pulse’s solutions, including its EHR and PM platforms. Courses will take a deep dive into advanced features, for example, code mapping and the use of care plans in the Pulse Complete EHR session, and showcase tips and tricks to get the most out of each solution.

“The healthcare industry is growing increasingly complex, making it challenging for providers to do it all – manage new regulations and requirements, optimize practice management and deliver safe and efficient patient care,” said Chris Walls, President and CEO of Pulse. “At Pulse, we strive to arm our clients with the resources, information and tools needed for operational, clinical and financial success, regardless of industry challenges. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring together a diverse group of Pulse users for the 15th year in a row and provide valuable guidance and tips to help clients meet their unique business needs, deliver better patient care and ultimately excel during this transitional period in healthcare.”

Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn from guest speaker Pamela Ballou-Nelson, Senior Consultant at MGMA Health Care Consulting Group, in a session covering fraud prevention and meeting OIG standards for medical practice offices.

As part of the event, members of Pulse’s Client-Product Steering Committee will be united for its bi-annual meeting. The group is comprised of Pulse client users, including physicians, nurses and administrative professionals, as well as Pulse executives, who gather twice a year to discuss Pulse solutions, enhancement opportunities, current industry trends, certain market challenges and other related topics.

“Pulse’s Users Group conference is not only a great opportunity to get together and work directly with Pulse employees, trainers and software support managers, but it also provides us with the ability to network with other like size/specialty groups to get the most out of our solutions. By attending this conference, it allows us to continually grow our knowledge base about the industry and impacts to our organization,” said Derek Armstrong, CEO of Midwest Orthopedic Center. “As a 5-year veteran of the meeting, I can confidently say Pulse’s ongoing support and commitment to ensuring the success of its clients is rare and truly makes the difference in a successful partnership.”

PUG 2017 will take place April 19-22 at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel. For more information, please visit www.pulseinc.com/events/pug2017/.
