The Warranty Group, Inc. Appoints Felipe Sanchez to Lead Mexico Business Efforts


CHICAGO, April 26, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Warranty Group, a leading global provider of warranty solutions and underwriting services, announced today that Felipe Sanchez has joined the organization as its new country manager in Mexico. In this role, Sanchez will be responsible for maintaining high operational standards, investigating new business opportunities, and driving revenue and profitable growth in the organization's Mexico business.

An energetic leader, Sanchez brings with him approximately thirty years’ experience in sales, marketing and technology. He has a proven track record of business growth globally. Most recently serving as CEO at Wingu Networks, a KIO Networks Group company that is dedicated to delivering cloud-based technology solutions across Mexico. In this role, he doubled the size of the business in three years. Under his leadership, Wingu received various accolades including:

  • Microsoft Silver Cloud Productivity Partner
  • Facebook Workplace Partner

Prior to Wingu, Sanchez had a successful career at Microsoft spanning more than 15 years. During his tenure with Microsoft, he served in a wide range of roles in Latin America, Russia and the United States. Most notably, in 2008 he moved to Moscow, Russia where he served as CMO for Microsoft Russia LLC and engineered a complete reset of that business in response to the worldwide financial crisis. His efforts resulted in growing the business 25% in two years, securing more than 40% of the IT market share in the Russian Federation and surpassing $1B in sales. Additionally, Microsoft Russia won the Subsidiary of the Year Award and Sanchez himself received the Circle of Excellence award, an important distinction in the Microsoft Corporation.

Sanchez will be located in The Warranty Group’s Mexico City office, which serves as the regional headquarters of The Warranty Group’s operations in Latin America.
