BATON ROUGE, La., June 05, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- McGlinchey Stafford PLLC is pleased to announce R. Marshall Grodner, a Member in the firm’s Baton Rouge office, has been inducted as President of the Association of Commercial Finance Attorneys, Inc. (ACFA).

Grodner was inducted into this new role at the ACFA’s Continuing Legal Education Weekend, June 2–3 in Richmond, Virginia. He will serve a two-year term at the helm of the organization. ACFA aims to “further the practice of law applicable to commercial finance, including but not limited to asset-based lending, factoring, loan restructuring and insolvency,” with members “actively participat[ing] in the drafting, modification, reform, and interpretation of commercial and insolvency law,” according to its website.
This appointment follows Grodner’s May 2017 election as Treasurer of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers (ACCFL), another eminent organization focused on commercial finance law.
Grodner’s practice focuses primarily in commercial transactions, secured transactions, commercial finance, opinion letters, and commercial real estate. Known for his experience in secured lending, Grodner has an extensive practice representing both Louisiana and out-of-state lenders and borrowers in numerous large commercial finance transactions, locally, regionally and nationally. Grodner received his J.D. from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center, Louisiana State University, in 1990.
ACFA’s members include in-house attorneys and attorneys in private practice who focus on middle-market commercial credit transactions and commercial bankruptcy matters, serving most of the nation’s major banks, commercial finance companies, leasing companies, and factors.
