Advisory Board Formed


VANCOUVER, British Columbia, June 07, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Galileo Exploration Ltd. (TSX-V:GXL) is pleased to announce the formation of an Advisory Board to assist in the assessment, exploration, development, and financial planning of the future success of the company.

The company’s advisory board members are Mr. Gary Nordin of North Vancouver, B.C., Mr. Wes Adams of Denver, Colorado, and Mr. Victor Erickson, of Vancouver, B.C.

In addition to the Advisory Board, the company is pleased to announce a consulting contract has been signed between the company and Mr. David Hottman, former Chairman of Galileo Exploration Ltd., for the express purpose of negotiating current and future property acquisitions and joint ventures.

Gary Nordin - Advisor - Consulting Geologist - B. SC (Geol. Hons)

Mr. Nordin has more than 40 years of experience in the mining business as a highly successful exploration geologist with a proven track record of identifying and developing mining projects.

As a co-founding Director, Vice President, and leading exploration geologist of Bema Gold Corporation from 1991 to 2000, he successfully identified open pit type heap leach gold reserves in the United States and Chile, including the Refugio deposit (6 to 8 million oz).

As a founding Director, Executive Vice President and Chief Consulting Geologist of Eldorado Corporation Ltd, Mr. Nordin participated in the discovery and development of several important gold deposits, including the La Colorada Mine in Mexico (1.0 million oz.), and the Kisladag deposit (8.0 million oz.) in Turkey.

Mr. Nordin is a founder and was the Chief Geologist of Polaris Materials Corporation. He has served on the Board of Directors of several publicly listed exploration and mining companies including Nevada Pacific Gold Ltd. before its takeover by US Gold Corporation, Canasil Resources, Rae Wallace Mining Company, Polaris Materials Corporation and Fortunate Sun Mining Company Limited.

Mr. Wesley Adams – Advisor

Mr. Adams represents the third generation of a mining family that has owned and operated Coal, Uranium and Gold Mines in Colorado, Wyoming, Utah and Guyana, South America. 

Mr. Adams started his career in Guyana, as project operations manager for ETK Inc., which discovered and developed the multi-million ounce Toroparu Gold Deposit. ETK went public in 2009 via a reverse take-over of TSX Venture Exchange listed Sandspring Resources.  At Sandspring, Mr. Adams served as Investor Relations Manager and assisted in raising nearly $100M CDN in public equity offerings over the course of five years. 

In 2014, Mr. Adams founded Energy Fuels Environmental, LLC, a privately-owned energy services company operating in the Powder River Basin of Wyoming. 3 successful years later, Mr. Adams sold EFE in H1 2017, at several times the investment costs, to a multi-billion dollar NYSE listed midstream energy operator.

Mr. Victor F. Erickson – Advisor - P. Eng

Mr. Victor F. Erickson has more than 40 years of experience in the mining business as a consulting engineer primarily in the evaluation of precious and base metal, and industrial mineral projects.

Mr. Erickson served as President, CEO, and Director of Cadillac Mining Corporation prior to its sale under an arrangement agreement to Pilot Gold in 2014. Its primary property, the Goldstrike gold project in the Great Basin in southwestern Utah State, is now Pilot Gold’s largest asset, and currently the focus of extensive drilling for resource definition.

Mr. Erickson also participated in the formation and management of several publicly-traded junior exploration firms between 1983 and 1996, whose focus was largely in the Great Basin and British Columbia.  He has also been a principal in the generation of several private mineral exploration and development projects.
