Babyscripts Raises $5.7 Million to Build the Market's Most Robust, Clinically-Validated Virtual Care Women's Health Platform

New funding round will support expanded services for expecting mothers.

Washington, DC, June 29, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Babyscripts, the leading virtual care women's health platform, announced today that it has raised $5.7 million in new funding. Ysios Capital is the lead investor.  Other strategic investors include Chemo Group, CG Health Ventures, Aurora Health Care Ventures, and P5 Health Ventures.

Babyscripts is a virtual care platform for obstetrics that allows OBGYNs to deliver a new model of prenatal care. The platform is powered by a suite of mobile apps that drive better patient decision making, internet-connected devices for remote monitoring, and a host of population health tools to give providers access to patient data in real time. When using these tools, patients experience increased engagement and satisfaction, while OBGYNs are able to identify patient risk more quickly, improve clinic workflow, and make more money.

“Babyscripts is well known for our initial work in low-risk pregnancy, delivering enhanced experiences for expecting mothers using technology. While we've grown quickly the past year, signing deals with more than 15 health systems across the country, we believe it's time to expand our work to those most at risk for complications and challenges in their pregnancy,” said Juan Pablo Segura, co-founder of Babyscripts.

As Babyscripts grows, the company is collaborating with partners like Aurora HealthCare, Florida Hospital, and UCSF (University of California San Francisco) to build more products for high-risk patients in pregnancy to extend its impact.

Anish Sebastian, the CEO of Babyscripts, said, “We built this company to bring meaningful change in obstetrical care. Partnering with clinicians and delivering best in class tools is the only way to use mobile/digital health in an impactful way. We're excited that we've found incredible champions and visionaries to work with as well as investors that understand what needs to be built to make this a reality. This is the future of care, this is Obstetrics 2.0, and we hope to find more innovators to work within the next year and beyond.”
