Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) has once again been chosen for the prestigious Defense Security Service (DSS) James S. Cogswell Outstanding Industrial Security Achievement Award. CTC previously won the Cogswell Award in 2006.
Companies are judged on factors including establishing and maintaining a security program that far exceeds the basic National Industrial Security Program requirements and providing leadership to other cleared facilities in establishing best practices while maintaining the highest standards for security. Facilities are eligible only if they achieve a minimum of two consecutive “Superior” industrial security review ratings and show a sustained degree of excellence and innovation in their overall security program management, implementation, and oversight.
“Concurrent Technologies Corporation has always been dedicated to helping develop and protect the nation's most sensitive programs and capabilities; in fact, we’ve earned ‘Superior’ ratings on the past three DSS evaluations,” said Edward J. Sheehan, Jr., President and Chief Executive Officer, CTC. “Congratulations to our Enterprise Security team, program managers, analysts, technicians, engineers, administrators, and others, whose efforts have distinguished CTC in a significant way.”
Large and small facilities across the country are eligible for this award. All nominees go through a vigorous vetting process that includes external input and a national team review.
“Our employees’ unwavering commitment to protecting programs and information made this level of recognition possible,” said Ronald R. Newsom, CTC Security Manager. “From following facility access rules to properly handling classified materials and information systems, CTC employees consistently demonstrate an outstanding security culture, proving that CTC is an especially trustworthy government-industry partner.”
