TORONTO, June 30, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Ontario English Catholic Teachers’ Association (OECTA) welcomes its new President, Liz Stuart, who will begin her two-year term on July 1, 2017.
President Stuart has been an active OECTA member for 25 years and was elected First Vice-President on the Provincial Executive in 2015. Beginning her teaching career in 1992, Stuart taught in the elementary panel with the York Catholic District School Board, where she served as York Unit President from 2009 to 2014. A passionate advocate of Catholic education, human rights, workers’ rights, and social justice, Stuart has served on a number of committees and working groups both at OECTA and for various national and international organizations.
Joining President Stuart, OECTA’s newly elected Provincial Executive members are:
