ARLINGTON, Va., July 10, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Engage Behavioral Health, a leading healthcare organization offering unique Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children with autism and related disabilities, today announced it is offering a private Capitol tour for children with autism who live in Northern Virginia.

Founded in 2008 by Owner and President Jennifer Phelps, Engage Behavioral Health offers quality care for those with developmental disabilities, leveraging the most effective therapies that are customized for each individual need. Phelps specializes in the assessment and treatment of children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities. With the support of a dedicated clinical team, Phelps has grown Engage Behavioral Health to more than 100 employees, and the organization was named one of Inc. 5000’s fastest growing companies in America for three consecutive years. Phelps earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with a specialty in ABA, from the University of South Florida. She also holds a master’s degree in ABA from Florida State University.

“We are excited to offer a special opportunity to children with autism, who live in Northern Virginia, to tour the Capitol with their local Congressman and our leading clinicians,” said Phelps. “Our clinical team is committed to demonstrating effective and outcome-based interventions for individuals with special needs and learning difficulties. It is our goal as an organization to apply a family-centered approach to therapy, and this tour is a great opportunity for families to participate and learn.”

The tour will take place on Friday, July 21th at 3:00 p.m. The tour will be hosted by the office of Congressman Donald S. Beyer Jr. (VA-08), Phelps, and the company’s Clinical Director, Hannah Van Nostrand.

In her role, Van Nostrand monitors the clinical quality and provides on-going training and support for other clinicians at Engage Behavioral Health. She also provides therapy for children within the Northern Virginia region where she resides with her family. Van Nostrand received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of South Florida, and she earned her master’s degree at Florida Institute of Technology.

Engage Behavioral Health is an organization that has a proven track record of success and effectiveness through the therapies provided by the company’s team of clinicians.

“Engage Behavioral Health has been in our life for the past six years, and they have been amazing every step of the way,” said Heather Cazzola, mom to Corbyn Cazzola, who receives regular therapy at Engage Behavioral Health.  “The progress Corbyn has made is life-changing. He can sing his ABCs, gets ready on his own in the morning, and he can communicate better about what he wants, needs, and how he is feeling. This would never have happened without Engage Behavioral Health.”
