Digital Arts Media Network to Begin Mentorship Relationship with OpenVision Labs

NEW YORK, July 11, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Digital Arts Media Network, Inc. (OTCMKTS:DATI), a specialized tech accelerator leveraging the Public Accelerator-Incubator (PAI) model, is establishing a new relationship with OpenVision Labs (formerly known as OpenVision Networks) through the Company’s Mentorship Program.

Digital Arts Media Network, having previously invested in OpenVision Labs (“OpenVision” or “OVL”) when it was at a $2M valuation, welcomes OVL to the Company’s new Mentorship Program as management rolls out the PAI model.

OVL is a developer of live-streaming media communication products and services. The mentorship strategy will encourage OVL to focus on developing an improved streaming media player for both live and recorded content, review and fortify its patents and establish a solid revenue model.

With a current valuation of $5M (valued during a third-party acquisition attempt) OVL has agreed to proceed with joining Digital Arts’ mentorship program.  Under this mentorship, OpenVision is preparing to run four major development programs:

  • International streaming deals (African Network distribution demos)
  • Live-streaming deals with event venues
  • Exclusive content generation with actor, Adam Beach
  • Development of a new and improved live-streaming media player

As more consumers turn to internet-based streaming solutions for their viewing enjoyment, a unique niche opportunity presented itself to OVL. While other streaming companies focus on streaming recorded content, many consumers still have trouble finding live-streaming events and real-time news outlets without cable subscriptions. This is one gap that OpenVision plans to fill, along with reaching for those international markets that are underserved by existing providers.

Additionally, many streaming companies have seen tremendous success with exclusive content. OpenVision is working with actor, Adam Beach, to develop content exclusive to the OVL’s online media streaming platform.

“Two major factors in building a strong valuation for a startup are active users and expandable recurring revenue,” said Ajene Watson, Chairman and CEO of Digital Arts Media Network, Inc., “Our goal is start from the ground up: encouraging OpenVision’s management to improve the user experience with a fresh media player, build a broader content library to attract new customers, and provide exclusive live-streams at venues.”

“We believe OpenVision Labs has tremendous potential to grow within the current market.  Particularly where (1) consumers continue to cut ties with cable companies yet still struggle to find continuity in their live and recorded streaming content, and, (2) where international networks continue to search for better ways to deliver streaming content to a growing mobile society.”

Management anticipates that OVL’s four major development initiatives should substantially increase OpenVision’s valuation prior to its next capital round.

As Digital Arts’ mentorship program commences, the company will continue adding key staff members to its executive, advisory and mentoring teams in anticipation of the Mentorship Program’s growth as part of the PAI model.
