National Park Service Seeks Information from Construction Firms

Is Interested in Hearing from SDVOSBs

Hot Springs, Arkansas, July 19, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Department of Interior, National Park Service, released on Wednesday, July 19 a presolicitation notice in which it invited certified service-disabled veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) construction firms to submit proposals for painting the Lamar Bathhouse at Hot Springs National Park in Arkansas.

According to the presolicitation, interested and capable SDVOSBs must be able to furnish all paint, labor, equipment, materials, and expertise to prepare and paint all exterior wall surfaces, windows, doors, downspouts, gutters, and assorted features of the Lamar Bathhouse. The area of work covers the exterior of the Historic Lamar Bathhouse, which has 10,000 square feet of painted surface. There are 138 nine lite wood windows bath casement and sash type, 6 large porch windows and the entrance doors with side lights.

The National Park Service anticipates the project requiring the use of temporary structural or mechanical means to reach the second story of the building. The height of the building is 30 feet to 40 feet from the uneven ground areas on all sides.

The National Park Service anticipates awarding a firm fixed-price contract, and, in its determination, will consider an offeror's technical approach, past performance, and price. The presolicitation makes clear that the agency will only consider SDVOSBs, and that it estimates project value to be between $25,000 and $100,000.

The NAICS code for this project is 2383200 and the small business size standard is $15 million.

The National Park Service intends to release an official solicitation on or around July 28, 2017, with responses by approximately 30 days later.
