MacB to Showcase Leading-Edge Technologies at TechNet Augusta

Dayton, Ohio, Aug. 03, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB), a leading National Security company delivering advanced engineering services, cybersecurity and product solutions, announced today that key executives and senior leaders will present new and innovative technologies during TechNet Augusta 2017. Booth demonstrations will include information on the Big Data Platform (BDP) and Analytics, as well as Project Erebus, MacB’s Tactical Wireless Exploitation Platform. The Conference and Expo is set for August 7-11 at the Augusta Marriot Hotel at the Convention Center in Georgia.

Sponsored by AFCEA International, TechNet Augusta provides a forum for key military, government and defense industry professionals from the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), Armed Services and U.S. Coast Guard to discuss issues and share ideas. Government, industry and academic speakers will address a range of topics and focus on the importance of the network, security and training to meet emerging challenges. Areas of focus will include cyberspace, electronic warfare and intelligence capabilities, as well as workforce training and operations.

During the conference, MacB will provide demonstrations on two leading-edge products:

Big Data Platform and Analytics: BDP capabilities provide analysts with the ability to query, evaluate, visualize and monitor petabytes of data across the network. The platform incorporates intuitive tools and user-friendly interfaces, and also provides multiple ways for analysts to share knowledge about cyber threats and mitigation. The BDP tactical solution deploys a complete cloud environment with lightweight, localized analytics to a laptop on the ground with the ability to push data up to an enterprise-level platform for large-scale mission correlations.

This cloud-based solution was originally developed by MacB’s Enlighten IT Group (EITG) for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), and is currently used by mission partners across the DoD. EITG’s proprietary Rapid Deployment and Management Framework (RADMF) enables the rapid deployment of BDP on hardware, commercial cloud and virtual echo systems (e.g., OpenStack), and a recently released update also supports deployment on a laptop.

Project Erebus: Erebus is a Tactical Wireless Exploitation Platform that identifies, characterizes and disrupts wireless networks at a standoff distance of up to 300 meters. This TRL 8 system maximizes the use of off-the-shelf components with custom software and an integrated menu-driven user interface. The platform provides customers with automated wireless capabilities that are cutting-edge, and highly customizable to suit a wide range of mission objectives.

Additionally, Duane Shugars, Vice President of MacB’s Enlighten IT Group (EITG), will speak during a TechTalk Session on Tuesday, August 8 at 11 a.m. He will present “Transforming Defensive Cyber Operations Infrastructure for the DoD and Intelligence Community”, which will highlight the challenges facing both as they continue to chase cyber threats across all tiers of existing infrastructure.

“With critical data analytics and the Cyber Center of Excellence housed at Fort Gordon, we view both our participation in the TechNet Augusta Conference and our local office facilities in Augusta as critical components to continuing the information exchange we’ve established with our valued government partners,” said Dan Gutierrez, Senior Vice President and General Manager of MacB’s National Security Group (NSG). “We recognize the importance of developing and maintaining our long-term partnerships within the DoD and Intelligence Community that are critical to solving the ever-changing National Security challenges.”
