TORONTO, Aug. 08, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- As any parent of SpiritedKids™ will say, the joy of raising a child with so much excess energy also comes with the challenge of finding the right kind of programming, to help them channel that energy constructively. The programs that do exist are underfunded and oversubscribed, only adding to the frustration. Toronto mom Ev Roth had been raising her own SpiritedKid™ and saw a huge gap between what schools and government programs offered and what was available for her son in after-school and camp programs. “To bridge that gap I decided to create ThriveKids™, to help spirited kids, from 3 to 13, learn how to make better choices in a fun environment they love coming back to,” says Roth. “This unique proprietary system supplements the good work being done in public programs and gives high energy kids the tools to be more engaged and independently reach their potential at home and in their communities!”
Starting on September 9th, ThriveKids™ Inc., will be offering its after school, camps and unique programming for kids in the GTA. And for the week of August 14th and the week of August 28th , a pilot program will be offered free of charge, so kids can try it out before the busy back-to-school season starts. Developed and delivered by a team of professionals, including occupational and art therapists, nutritionists, early childhood educators, and fitness experts, ThriveKids™ addresses the mind, body and character, to help kids adopt routines that create the best conditions for learning.
ThriveKids™’ integrated approach is built around its core program, the 20/20/20 Circuit™, that includes 20 minutes of vigorous exercise, 20 minutes of life skills training and 20 minutes of mindfulness and relaxation. “Recent studies show that kids with high energy require a minimum of 20 to 60 minutes of vigorous exercise at least four times per week,” says ThriveKids™ Inc. founder and CEO, Ev Roth. Also launching is the Food is Fuel™ program, created to help kids make good food choices – even when parents are not around!
And it’s not just highly-spirited kids that benefit from the tools and training ThriveKids™ provides. Any child that has trouble staying focussed, or who needs help making healthy food choices, can benefit from the integrated approach of ThriveKids™. Each program is designed to build confidence and benefit every kind of kid and will stick with them well into adulthood.
