Fingerprints becomes a member of the Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition

World-leading biometrics company Fingerprint Cards (FingerprintsTM) is taking the next step within sustainability, and has been accepted by the Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition ("The EICC") as an affiliate member.

"Bringing companies together to address common sustainability challenges and to find unifying ways of working, I think is the best way to achieve long term results. We see the EICC as an important organization within the field of sustainability as many of our customers and suppliers are related to the electronic industry. Hence, we share some of the same challenges that EICC focus on", says Angelica Berg, Head of Sustainability at Fingerprints.

The EICC was founded in 2004 by a group of leading electronics companies, and is a non-profit coalition of electronics, retail, auto, toy companies - and now also biometrics. The organization's vision is to jointly work with the sustainability challenges facing companies. Fingerprints support the EICC Code of Conduct and the work they are doing.

"We are now taking the next step in our sustainability journey and we are humble to the work that lies ahead. By this membership, we can learn from, and contribute to the sustainability work EICC is doing. Through EICC we can do this together with our customers and suppliers as many of them already are EICC members which I see as important for us to advance our sustainability work", says Christian Fredrikson, CEO at Fingerprints.

EICC members commit and are held accountable to a common Code of Conduct and members can utilize a range of EICC training and assessment tools to support continuous improvement in the social, environmental and ethical responsibility of their supply chains. The EICC also regularly engages in dialogue and collaborations with different stakeholders to gather the necessary range of perspectives and expertise to support and drive its members toward achieving the EICC mission and values of a responsible global electronics supply chain.
