Vapers have a voice! Bill S-5 and petition E-1237

MIRABEL, Québec, Sept. 07, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Vapselect Inc. -- Vapers across Canada have come together to let the Government know that they will not be muzzled by the current proposed legislation to regulate their industry.

Bill S-5, which was passed in the Senate this past June, is slated for debate in the House of Commons this fall. Vapers want to make sure that their voices are heard.

Bill S-5 contains clear Freedom of speech infractions & general censorships that are not acceptable.

"Repeated requests for revision or even clarification have been rebuffed constantly so we have to try something different," says Sherwin Edwards, the author of the parliamentary petition E-1237. "This unique approach is a first of it's kind, for the vaping industry," he goes on to say.

Bill S-5 lumps vaping with the tobacco industry and ignores science-based results and is not in the interest of public health, or this rapidly growing industry. S-5 threatens to hand a grassroots industry into the hands of vaping conglomerates, big tobacco and big pharma, while ambiguity allows health Canada to micromanage the entire industry.

Vapers are taking a stand against this punitive and potentially destructive bill and is asking for vaping to be classified on it's own, separate from tobacco.
