Hollister Co. Announces 2017 Anti-Bullying Campaign in Partnership With STOMP Out Bullying™ and Multi-Platinum, Multi-Grammy Nominated Recording Artist and Producer, Charlie Puth

For this year’s National Bullying Prevention Month, Hollister is excited to work with STOMP Out Bullying™, the leading national anti-bullying and cyberbullying organization for kids and teens.

STOMP Out Bullying™ is dedicated to changing the culture so that students can be themselves and be accepted by their peers. Promoting civility, inclusion and equality, it works to reduce and prevent bullying, cyberbullying, and other digital abuse, educates against homophobia, LGBTQ discrimination, racism and hatred, and deters violence in schools, online and in communities across the country.  Its HelpChat line offers assistance for those in need and at risk for suicide.

Through the partnership, Hollister will be the sole provider of the blue shirts for STOMP Out Bullying’s™ BLUE SHIRT DAY® WORLD DAY OF BULLYING PREVENTION™.  Blue symbolizes peace and BLUE SHIRT DAY® WORLD DAY OF BULLYING PREVENTION™ is an annual campaign that takes place on the first Monday in October to kick off and signify the importance of National Bullying Prevention Awareness month. This year marks the 10th year of the campaign.  Recording artist and producer Charlie Puth will be the face of the campaign, as well as support the movement and encourage his fans to wear Blue on October 2nd.

The blue shirts, sold exclusively through Hollister, are available online at www.hollisterco.com and in all stores starting September 8, 2017, with 100%* of the proceeds benefiting STOMP Out Bullying™.  Customers can also support the organization by rounding up their purchase at the register in all US Hollister stores through the end of October.

In Hollister’s fifth year of the anti-bullying campaign, its focus remains on raising awareness around anti-bullying globally and providing resources for students in need. Since launching the initiative in 2013, Hollister has donated more than $1,500,000 to supporting organizations that support anti-bullying efforts, reached over 2,000,000 students, and awarded scholarships to 40 students who have overcome bullying in their own lives.

In addition to building awareness for anti-bullying, Hollister also understands the importance of education and is providing STOMP Out Bullying™ educator tool kits to more than 5,000 schools.   Beyond the classroom, Hollister looks to recognize students that persevered and succeeded academically while experiencing bullying, as well as those who have led the fight against bullying in their schools and communities. Through a partnership with the National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS) Foundation, the company will award 10 renewable scholarships in the amount of $2,500 to students starting college in the 2018 school year.
