BIMobject AB: BIMobject intends to launch bim.com, a Cloud Application Store for the AEC industry

Today, BIMobject AB (BIMobject) announces its intention to launch a new business division called bim.com, a store dedicated to cloud-based design and construction applications for the Building Information Modelling (BIM) market. The Cloud Application Store (CAS) will host BIM cloud apps and make them available to the community of BIMobject® Cloud users. It is intended to form the primary marketplace where developers can sell software solutions to professional users such as architects, engineers, designers, and project managers.

With bim.com, BIMobject intends to create the preferred marketplace - an application store - for its user community. The Cloud Application Store will be open to any technical software solution developer who wants to sell to the global user community (currently exceeding 550,000 users). The bim.com platform will be the gateway and online sales platform for the global AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry to market and sell BIM cloud app solutions.

BIMobject plans to launch bim.com in late 2018, when the BIMobject® Cloud community is expected to pass 1 million users. The Cloud Application Store will most likely be developed separately in a subsidiary of BIMobject AB, registered in the USA as bim.com, Inc. The subsidiary will potentially seek external funding. Initiatives to interest investors in bim.com will begin shortly.

The global BIM technology industry is predicted to reach more than $7.64 billion in 2022 according to the 2017 market report Building Information Modeling (BIM) Market by Type, Project life cycle, Application, Geography - Global Forecast to 2022, which can be found at https://www.researchandmarkets.com/reports/4200585/building-information-modeling-bim-market-by.

About BIMobject®
BIMobject® is a Swedish technology company with a global presence operating at the forefront of digitalising the building industry. BIMobject provides a cloud-based platform and powerful technology to make digital product information available for Building Information Modelling (BIM), allowing its use early in the building process for visualisation, specification, and analysis. The platform collects valuable data that streamlines the construction industry throughout the product lifecycle. More intelligent design and construction lead to better product selections, reduced waste, and more efficient logistics during the building process. At the same time, property management benefits from higher quality, improved use of energy, and lower operating costs.

Today, BIMobject operates in a number of markets and has a global growth strategy. The company's offerings include development, hosting, management, and publishing of digital versions of manufacturer products: BIM objects. Its customers are building and interior product manufacturers who market their products via the BIMobject® Cloud. The user base consists primarily of architects, designers, and engineers, who access the BIMobject® Cloud through CAD/BIM-applications, apps, and web services. The BIM objects are integrated into a detailed model of the building, which increases the chance that the real products will be selected for purchase.

BIMobject is a public company listed on Nasdaq Stockholm First North with the ticker symbol BIM.
