National Autism Nonprofit The Miracle Project Honored At Art Show Fundraiser For Disability Awareness Month

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Oct. 11, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- October is Disability Awareness Month and autism nonprofit The Miracle Project will be the nonprofit beneficiary of the “introspective art by Karolina Adams” art show at GP Deva X-Power Gallery, 9601 Wilshire Blvd. Suite 125, in Beverly Hills on Sunday, October 22, from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Because of the support The Miracle Project will receive through efforts based in the grassroots Beverly Hills community, the door is opened for children with disabilities and their typically developing peers and siblings to explore their love of song, dance, performance and theater with Elaine Hall, known as “the child whisperer” for her gifts in working with this population.

The Miracle Project proudly offers five elements to their evidence-based services that speak to their breadth, depth and expertise in the field:

  • Arts as an intervention with therapeutic, evidence based and proven methodology,
  • Develop voices and talents, a forum for children and young adults to ultimately discover their true selves,
  • Building compassion, all classes are fully inclusive of individuals with and without disabilities,
  • Development of Social and Work Skills, while some students go off to professional paid acting and talent careers, many participants learn to stay centered and calm, a valuable work skill across all industries at a time when 80% of young adults with disabilities are unemployed.
  • Creation and performance of live original content, The Miracle Project changes how the world sees autism for all those who participate.

Says Founder and Artistic Director Elaine Hall of The Miracle Project show, “We absolutely adore the art of Karolina Adams and we are so proud to have her support of the programs and services of The Miracle Project, a particularly great fit because Karolina’s art celebrates the “weirdness in us all.” Our kids and families directly benefit from the help we are receiving from Karolina and GP Deva X-Power Gallery.”
