Germantown Veterinary Team Welcomes Newest Member

GERMANTOWN, Tenn., Oct. 23, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- In order to continue its tradition of providing quality veterinary care to Germantown and the surrounding communities, Forest Hill Animal Hospital is happy to announce the addition of Dr. Mindy Ricketts as a part-time Associate Veterinarian. The veterinarians at the West Tennessee vet clinic pride themselves on providing the highest standards of care for local pets. Dr. Ricketts will become part of an all-in-one pet resource facility that is dedicated to keeping these beloved animal companions happy and healthy for life.

Dr. Mindy Ricketts began seeing patients at the beginning of October, and will be available on Tuesday and Wednesday of each week for appointments. She has been in practice for over 14 years, after having studied at Ole Miss for her undergraduate work and attending veterinary school at Mississippi State. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and four children.

The newest addition to the Forest Hill Animal Hospital family joins the Germantown veterinary team of Dr. Darryl Dixon, Dr. Gram Johnson and Dr. Haley Rush Hanks, who have a combined 65+ years of experience working with animals of all ages and breeds. Forest Hill Animal Hospital philosophy is that quality pet health care consists of professionalism, compassion, and excellence. Mindy demonstrates all of those qualities, with that said she will be a valuable addition in helping the practice promote pet health and well-being.

As an all-in-one resource for pet owners in the Germantown area, Forest Hill Animal Hospital provides both preventative wellness care to help keep pets at their best, as well as state-of-the-art technology to help diagnose and treat pet illnesses. The veterinarians recommend pet vaccinations, pest/parasite prevention, and dental evaluations and cleanings as part of regular wellness exams to keep pets as healthy as possible. The animal hospital also provides pet spay and neuter services. Specialized service areas include lab work, pet ophthalmology, surgery, internal medicine, and Class IV Lite Cure Pet Therapy Laser, as well as diagnostic ultrasound and radiology.

Pet medications are available from a fully-stocked, on-site pharmacy. Pet microchipping, which is the non-surgical insertion of a tiny ID-transmitting chip under a pet's skin, can provide identification of lost pets to help reunite them with their family. Complete on-site pet boarding, bathing and grooming services are available. Forest Hill also provides dietary and nutritional services and can provide referrals for behavioral training as needed.

Forest Hill Animal Hospital is located at 3133 Forest Hill Irene Road and serves Germantown, Memphis, Collierville, Southaven, Olive Branch and the surrounding communities.
