Marine Harvest (OSE:MHG): Judgment of the General Court (EU)

With reference to the releases of 23 July 2014 and 31 March 2014 in respect of the European Commission's review of the Morpol acquisition process.

Marine Harvest has today been informed by the General Court (EU) that the European Commission's initial decision to fine Marine Harvest of EUR 20 million is maintained. The General Court (EU) maintains that Marine Harvest has breached the provisions of the European Merger Control Regulations.

Marine Harvest is disappointed by the outcome and that our arguments presented to the General Court (EU) have not been accepted.

Marine Harvest will now together with its legal advisor conduct a judicial review of the judgment and decide if the judgment shall be appealed to the EU Court of Justice. If an appeal is lodged, a final non-appealable judgment is expected to be made at the end of 2018.

Marine Harvest has already recognized a provision of EUR 20 million in the financial statements.
