(NASDAQ:BIDU), the leading Chinese language Internet search provider, announced today that it will hold its annual “Baidu World” Technology Conference at the China World Summit Wing and Kerry Hotel in Beijing on November 16. The forum will bring together Baidu executives, employees, partners, developers, and media to discuss the company’s mission and strategy, technology breakthroughs, new product developments, and Baidu’s open artificial intelligence (AI) ecosystem.

The theme of this year’s event is “Bring AI to Life”, highlighting how AI can enhance the smart home experience and transform everyday life. Baidu envisions a future where intelligent vehicles, smart home devices, and AI technologies, like image and voice recognition, can improve and change the way people interact with machines and make a complex world simpler through technology.

Baidu has already made great strides in the integration of AI into people’s daily lives using its open autonomous driving platform Apollo and conversational AI platform DuerOS. Moreover, Baidu’s face recognition technology has been used in many contexts, including tourist attractions and airports, as well as helping to find missing people in China.
