Farsight Security CTO Merike Kaeo to Keynote Microsoft BlueHat Security Conference

SAN MATEO, Calif., Nov. 07, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Today Farsight Security, Inc. announced that Farsight Security Chief Technology Officer Merike Kaeo will deliver the keynote entitled, “Reinventing Trust in a World of Organized Chaos” at the Microsoft BlueHat Security Conference on Wednesday November 8th 2017 at the Microsoft Conference Center in Redmond, Washington.

The Microsoft BlueHat Security Conference is a prestigious invitation-only event that brings Microsoft engineers and the security community together to learn about the current threat landscape and challenge practitioners thinking and actions around security. This year, the conference expects over 1000 attendees each day.

In her keynote entitled, “Reinventing Trust in a World of Organized Chaos,” Ms. Kaeo will focus on why the rapid deployment of new technologies has made creating -- and sustaining -- trust, and resiliency in today’s online world seems like an insurmountable problem. “I will examine why this steady erosion of trust creates a condition where no one wants to be held accountable and everyone appears eager to shift blame and responsibility to someone else,” said Ms. Kaeo, Farsight Security CTO. “Today’s digital economy requires reinventing and regaining trust. We should fight for the right of security researchers to make responsible disclosures and for companies to disclose breaches without fear of possible public backlash or incurring enormous fines.”
