YogaWorks Acquires Four Premier Studios in Atlanta

Acquisition Expands YogaWorks' Portfolio to 66 Locations and Marks Entry into Georgia

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 14, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- YogaWorks, Inc. (NASDAQ:YOGA), one of the largest providers of high quality yoga instruction in the U.S., continues to expand its national footprint with today’s acquisition of Infinity Yoga’s four Atlanta-based studios. This deal marks YogaWorks’ entry into Georgia and expands the Company’s portfolio to 66 locations across the country.

Founded by Becky Nickerson and Matt Shechtman in 2013, Infinity Yoga operates four studios in Atlanta’s Brookhaven, Buckhead, Dunwoody and Old Fourth Ward neighborhoods. Recognized as one of the Southeast’s premier yoga studios, Infinity Yoga offers hundreds of classes each week for all types of students.  Infinity Yoga prides itself on diverse and authentic programming, ranging from vinyasa to yin and restorative, a wide variety of meditation offerings, and even yoga for runners and athletes.  Infinity Yoga offers an incredibly experienced teaching roster, many of whom have been lauded as Atlanta’s best instructors by publications such as Best Self magazine and Atlanta magazine.  Relying on its dedicated instructor base, Infinity Yoga has been credited with numerous accolades itself, most notably being recognized as worldwide “Business of the Year” in 2016 by Mindbody Online, the leading student servicing platform for the yoga industry, and locally Infinity Yoga was awarded the coveted “Best Studio in Atlanta” by Atlanta Magazine.  Both Ms. Nickerson and Mr. Shechtman will join the YogaWorks regional management team to support the community and lead expansion in the area.

“The addition of Infinity Yoga is an important milestone as we continue to grow our national brand and expand into the Southeast,” said Rosanna McCollough, Chief Executive Officer of YogaWorks. “Becky, Matt and their team have built an incredible community in Atlanta through a diverse class schedule that attracts people of all ages and skill levels.  We are excited for what the future holds in this region.”

YogaWorks remains dedicated to maintaining Infinity Yoga’s programming and operations. Current teachers and staff will remain on board and Infinity Yoga’s classes, workshops, teacher trainings and retreats will continue as scheduled. In the months ahead, Infinity Yoga’s website and studio name will transition to the YogaWorks brand as the Company aims to raise local brand visibility.

“Partnering with YogaWorks is a momentous step for us and one we could not be more thrilled to take,” said Ms. Nickerson. “Since we opened our first door in Atlanta, we have prided ourselves on the quality and inclusiveness of our classes and have always believed that yoga should be accessible to everyone. YogaWorks shares our same eclectic and authentic focus and, together, I think we can empower more people through yoga than we ever thought possible.”
