West Omaha Chiropractic & Sports Injury Clinic Encourages Those Who Can to Donate to Project Wee Care

OMAHA, Neb., Nov. 20, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- West Omaha Chiropractic & Sports Injury Clinic of West Omaha, NE is pleased to announce their participation in the Millard Business Community Foundation's Wee Care project. Throughout November, residents in the area are asked to join West Omaha Chiropractic in the fight against poverty. Help families around the holidays by donating new books, puzzles or games.  Cash donations are appreciated as well. Every item and dollar goes to needy families.

West Omaha's connection with the fundraiser stems from the clinic's connection with children. Some patients of the clinic are children who suffer from injuries or have life-long, debilitating conditions. The chiropractors on the team, Dr. Trevor Wagner, Dr. Julie Owen-Wagner and Dr. Ron Evans, help children reduce pain and get back to school and play. Seeing the children’s journeys has led West Omaha Chiropractic to want to help the younger generation in other ways. The clinic's goal with participating in this event is to know they're making a difference in children's lives in more ways than just their health, especially since all the chiropractors at the clinic are firm believers that happiness has a huge impact on overall health.

West Omaha Chiropractic & Sports Injury Clinic revolves their treatment around healing disease and injury through natural means. Treatments promote better overall health and wellness. The chiropractic clinic educates patients on ways to prevent injury and disease. The clinic focuses on patients of all shapes, sizes and ages. It's a family clinic, so the three chiropractors at the facility see women, men, seniors, children, teens and every age in between. Some patients have just lost sight of healthy living while others never had it to begin with. The chiropractic clinic helps patients develop healthy lifestyle habits to use for a lifetime of improved health. The practitioners at this facility provide patients with a wide range of treatments such as chiropractic alignments, acupuncture, massage therapy, and k-laser, lifestyle advise and exercise therapy.

Project Wee Care was derived as a method to collect food, gifts and clothing for families in the area who have limited funds and won't be able to have a Merry Christmas. Project Wee Care partners with members of the Millard Business Association each year. Last holiday season, Project Wee Care helped 302 families in the area. More than 1,253 people received clothing, food and other necessities for two weeks last year. All of the children in these families were given access to warm clothing. Since the beginning of the program, Project Wee Care has benefited more than 7,900 individuals in the community.
