The Montréal business community awards the 2017 Prix Montréal inc. to Sensequake and honours Eric Boyko


MONTREAL, Dec. 04, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- La Soirée Montréal inc. celebrated entrepreneurship Thursday evening at the new Marine Terminal hall in Old Montréal. Under the honorary presidency of Mr. Lucien Bouchard, Chairman of the Board, Eric Boyko, President and CEO of Stingray Digital, received a tribute for his impact on entrepreneurship. The 2017 Prix Montréal inc. was awarded to Sensequake. La Soirée Montréal inc. is an annual event to the benefit of Fondation Montréal inc. which invests in the creation, expansion and ongoing support of young businesses.

Over 450 guests from the Montréal business community chose the winner after Desjardins Entreprises presented the 3 finalists for the Prix Montréal inc. The Prix Montréal spotlights the most successful young entrepreneurs among the laureates of Fondation Montréal inc. over the past 12 months.

Sensequake is the initiative of the two Mirshafiei brothers, engineers by training. Sensequake has developed a technology that allies sensors and collection and analysis software, allowing data gathering on buildings and infrastructure. An algorithm can determine the DNA of a building's structure and predict its vulnerability. www.sensequake.com
