Dr. Myra Jones-Taylor joined ZERO TO THREE in September as chief policy officer, and Ernestine Walls Benedict became the organization’s chief communications officer in December.

“ZERO TO THREE is fortunate to be able to attract top talent like Ernestine and Myra,” said Matthew Melmed, executive director of ZERO TO THREE. “Babies, toddlers and their families deserve to have the very best people advocating for them. I know that these two leaders will advance our work to make sure all little ones get a strong start in life.”

Prior to this role, Dr. Jones-Taylor served as the founding commissioner of the Connecticut Office of Early Childhood. The cabinet-level state agency was responsible for early intervention programs, home visiting, early care and education and child care licensing programs across the state, serving more than 50,000 children each year.
