The AI 100 award recognizes the teams and technologies that are successfully using AI to solve big challenges. According to CB Insights, this year’s list of award winners was selected from a pool of more than 2000 companies that are using artificial intelligence across industries ranging from drug discovery and cybersecurity to robotic and legal technology.
The winners were selected based on specific criteria including investor profile, tech innovation, team strength, patent activity, mosaic score, funding history, valuation and business model. Award winners can be based in any location, but must be privately-held.
Last year’s AI 100 award winners enjoyed much success after making the AI 100 list – 55 of them went on to raise additional funding nearing $2 billion and five were acquired.
