RavenQuest BioMed Provides Indigenous Populations with Turnkey Cannabis Solutions -- CFN Media

SEATTLE, Jan. 18, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- CFN Media Group ("CannabisFN"), the leading creative agency and media network dedicated to legal cannabis, announces publication of an article discussing how RavenQuest BioMed Inc. (CSE:RQB) aims to provide Canada’s Indigenous populations with unique turnkey solutions with respect to the licensing, engineering, construction and operation of cannabis cultivation facilities. While there are already over 70 licensed producers, there is one segment of the market that remains relatively underserved - Canada’s Indigenous Peoples. These communities could eventually account for a large portion of the overall market with unique benefits.

Unique Turnkey Solutions

RavenQuest BioMed’s CEO, George Robinson, has helped more than ten producers of medical cannabis become licensed by Health Canada. With RavenQuest, Mr. Robinson plans to expand these activities to help Indigenous Peoples secure licenses and setup top-tier licensed cannabis production operations using turnkey solutions. The company has since added many highly-qualified executives and advisors focused on this unique niche.

The company’s turnkey solutions include its Orbital Gardens, which help maximize the number of grams of cannabis flower or oil that can be generated per square foot of grow space. With three-dimensional grow capacity, the technology stacks three-high and two-wide to provide maximum grow space with full automation and minimal visits into the grow rooms. Management believes that this makes it one of the most efficient grow technologies on the market.

In addition to its technology and management services, the company recently acquired an aspiring licensed producer of its own that has received a pre-license inspection letter from Health Canada. The completed facility is expected to consist of a 35,500 sq. ft. facility that is capable of producing about 7,000 kilograms of cannabis flower per year. The licensing process is being handled by the Services Group, which has a 100% success rate for applicants.

Indigenous Peoples Focus

RavenQuest BioMed’s focus on Indigenous Peoples is unique among publicly-traded cannabis companies. Under the guidance of Mr. Dwight (Bill) Robinson, the company aims to identify, cultivate, and deepen relationships with Indigenous Peoples. Mr. Robinson served with the RCMP for 34 years in communities across Canada and worked closely with Indigenous Peoples communities.

In November, the company entered into first major Indigenous People’s agreement with Fort McMurray #468 First Nation to provide its turnkey cannabis industry solution. The agreement calls for cannabis license application development, architecture and engineering of a 24,000 sq. ft. licensed cannabis production facility, and strategic planning for entry into the industry.

“Through our environmentally-sustainable production model and end-to-end solutions, we intend to emerge as the trusted provider of choice for Indigenous Peoples’ cannabis industry partnerships across Canada,” said RavenQuest CEO George Robinson. “The mutually beneficial agreement represents an important step in this direction. We are extremely excited to enter into this unique partnership with Fort McMurray #468 First Nation.”

The company also created the Indigenous People Cannabis Association, which has grown to include over 70 members in recent months. In total, management expects that about one-fifth of total cannabis canopy will be allocated to indigenous peoples over the coming years, making it a very large and important part of the country’s medical and adult-use cannabis industry, as well as a great investment opportunity for the company and its shareholders.
