NFL ALUMNI 2018 PRO BOWL EVENTS

Join NFL Alumni in Orlando January 25-28 for Pro Bowl Festivities


Mount Laurel, NJ, Jan. 19, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- NFL Alumni will make its first appearance at the 2018 NFL Pro Bowl this month. Prior to kickoff, NFL Alumni is hosting a series of Pro Bowl events including a pairings party and golf tournament, leadership seminar, tailgate party and youth girls football camp.

NFL Alumni Pro Bowl Celebrity Golf Classic

In the Celebrity-AM, groups of four are paired with a celebrity captain to compete in a team scramble tournament to benefit Gateway for Cancer Research and support NFL Alumni’s mission of “Caring For Our Own and Caring For Kids.” This charitable event includes the rare opportunity to tee up and play 18 holes with celebrated NFL alumni at the Jack Nicklaus signature-designed New Course, which provides a Scottish links masterpiece, at the acclaimed Villas of Grand Cypress. This is a handicap based tournament and all winners' handicaps are subject to verification, and only teams with verified handicaps from all five members will be eligible for the first, second, or third prize.

The NFL Alumni Celebrity Golf Classic is a Super Bowl of Golf qualifying tournament. The winning team will proudly represent the NFL Alumni Pro Bowl tournament at the 2018 Super Bowl of Golf at TPC Las Vegas in Las Vegas, NV.

Leadership Seminar for Orange County Public School Foundation

NFL Alumni and the Foundation for Orange County Public Schools are pleased to host the Make A Splash Leadership Seminar to support NFLA's mission "Caring For Kids" and the Foundation for OCPS' purpose "Investing in children today to strengthen our community tomorrow." This Seminar will feature keynote speakers and NFL alumni partaking in panel discussions with students from the Foundation for Orange County Public Schools' My Brother's Keeper and Find Your Voice programs. Topics of discussion will include leadership, resisting peer pressure, self-esteem, and much more! There will also be an Adult Mentor session that will include discussions on the importance of giving back to the community, strategies for building genuine relationships, and the benefits and challenges of mentoring.

Make A Splash Tailgate

NFL Alumni and Foundation for Orange County Public Schools are pleased to host the Make a Splash Tailgate Party to raise funds to support NFLA's mission "Caring for Kids" and the Foundation for the OCPS' purpose "Investing in children today to strengthen our community tomorrow."  Proceeds from this two-part event will benefit Find Your Voice, My Brother’s Keeper, City Year Orlando, and the NFL Alumni Association.

The Tailgate party will feature chalk talk sessions with NFL alumni, autograph opportunities, silent auction, football skills games for kids, a beer garden for attendees over the age of 21 and much more!

GRRRidiron Girls Flag Football Camp

NFL Alumni is co-hosting an all-girls football camp with the first female NFL coach, Jen Welter, down in Orlando during Pro Bowl as one of the stops on her 12-city tour. These camps are focused on encouraging and empowering girls ages 6-16. The girls will also receive in-depth training from former NFL players.

Dr. Jen Welter is widely known as a trailblazer in the world of professional football. Her highly decorated 14-year career in women’s professional football gave her the foundation to be the first woman to play running back in a men’s professional football league and become the first female coach in the NFL, coaching inside linebackers for the Arizona Cardinals.
