Great Lakes Announces Updates to Executive Management Team


OAK BROOK, Ill., Jan. 25, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Corporation (the “Company” or “Great Lakes”) (NASDAQ:GLDD), the largest provider of dredging services in the United States and a major provider of environmental and remediation services, today announced that Kathleen Mackie LaVoy has been elected Senior Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary and Annette Cyr has joined the Great Lakes team as Vice President of Human Resources. CEO Lasse Petterson commented “We are excited to announce these changes to our executive management team. About Kathleen Mackie LaVoy

Ms. LaVoy joined the company in 2007 as Assistant General Counsel and was promoted to Vice President and General Counsel, Dredging Operations in 2012.  Since November 2015, she has been serving as the Interim Chief Legal Officer. She received her J.D. cum laude from Northwestern University School of Law and was an associate in the litigation department of the Chicago law firm Winston & Strawn LLP before joining Great Lakes. Ms. LaVoy earned a Bachelor of Science degree with distinction in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill.

About Annette Cyr

Ms. Cyr has over twenty-five years of human resources experience with both public and private companies. In her most recent role, she was Executive Vice President Human Resources for Beaulieu Americas, a floor covering manufacturer. Prior to Beaulieu, she served as Executive Vice President Human Resources for syncreon, a global logistics company serving technology and automotive OEMs.  Ms. Cyr has also led Human Resources for BrightPoint, a publicly traded global leader in providing end-to-end supply chain solutions to leading stakeholders in the wireless industry. Throughout her career, her key focus areas have included mergers and acquisitions, leadership and talent development, and the implementation of global processes and systems in support of the businesses’ objectives. Ms. Cyr has a Master’s degree in Personnel and Employment Relations and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and History, both from the University of South Carolina.
