Miami, FL, Jan. 31, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Partnering with the International Music Software Trade Association (IMSTA), SAE Institute, a global leader in creative media education, will host the second annual IMSTA FESTA Miami on Saturday, February 24, 2018 from 11:00AM – 6:00PM.
The event, which is a celebration of music technology featuring master classes, workshops, networking opportunities, and panels of music industry professionals, is open to the public and free for all to attend. IMSTA FESTA also showcases major brands and music software companies demonstrating their latest products, and this year’s exhibitors will include Native Instruments, PreSonus, Fabfilter, Arturia, IK Multimedia, and more.
Highlighting the event with the keynote address at 12:00PM will be Charles Dye, award-winning film director, screenwriter, GRAMMY®-winning mixer/producer, and an SAE Institute Miami instructor. Charles’ accomplishments include mixing Ricky Martin’s #1 hit, 'Livin' La Vida Loca,' and he has worked with Jon Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Shakira, Gloria Estefan, and more.
"IMSTA FESTA allows our campus to connect with the community of engineers and music makers in the South Florida area and brings awareness to issues of software piracy in the music software industry," says David Andris, Campus Director at SAE Institute Miami. "I cannot think of a better way to do that than to have one of our own instructors, Charles Dye, present the keynote address. His work on 'Livin' La Vida Loca' moved our industry into the digital age."
The Miami event is the first in the 2018 series, and SAE Institute will be the host partner of upcoming IMSTA FESTA celebrations in Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York.
Admission to IMSTA FESTA Miami is free with advanced registration at imsta.org.
